Instead of going to buy a new book check out the read it swap it web site. You simply list the books you have read and no longer want. Search for a book you want and offer to swap one of yours for that book. The whole swap costs the price of a second class stamp!
Most paint products are made from synthetic chemicals that don’t allow the room to breathe, many of these chemicals are known to be harmful both to ourselves and the planet.
Air fresheners do not delete smells. Don’t contribute to the multi million pound industry in chemical fresheners use aromatherapy oils instead.
Always buy energy efficient bulbs. Never leave lights on that don’t need to be on. Use as much natural light as possible.
Buy fair trade, buy rugs and carpets made from recycled and/or natural materials.
Save Energy. Natural resources are being used more quickly than they can be sourced. Using fossil fuels creates pollution, turn your heating down by a couple of degrees. Swap energy supplier to one investing in renewable energy. Don’t leave electrical appliances on standby always switch off at the wall. Turn the lights off when not in a room.
